Sometimes people think that they can never go beyond their capabilities that they stay stagnant and repeat to themselves “this is all I can do.” If you could change that mind setting of “this is all I can do” to “what else I can do that I haven’t done before?” then maybe, just maybe, you’ll surprise yourself with things you did not imagine you could do or have or say.

Levelling up in life does not necessarily mean go work your ass off and get rich. It merely means you raise your standards, and you do not accept anything lower than what you want or what you believe is true before.  It means becoming your better self, keeping the better people (and by that I mean, people who are smarter and more intellectual than you, people whom you consider the individuals who can do what you cannot do), and becoming better at choosing the life you want and deserve for you.

What can I do that I haven’t done before?

If you could write 500 words per day before, why not try consistent 1000 or 1500 words per day? If you can paint with watercolour so perfectly, why not try acrylic if you haven’t tried it before? If you usually run for 3 run or jog every morning, why not try running or jogging for an additional hour or so? What I want to point out here is that, you can actually do anything you want beyond your limits. Do not believe when your mind says that you can only do something because that’s all you can do and that’s that. Yes, that is all you can do right now. But once you started something new, you’ll realize that you just levelled up in life.

But it does not stop there. When you start something bigger than yourself, never go back—never look back. People tend to go back to old habits and ignore the present progress. Why? It is easier to give up. It is easier to turn around instead of keeping up with the on-going improvements in our lives. People tend to start something and once it gets tough they stop and reverts back to their old selves. Pfft.

So am telling you, wherever you are, whoever you are, and whatever you are facing right now, you can level up your life, no matter how broke you are, no matter how impossible it may seem. It is just a matter of choosing and changing how you see things.

Just like in mobile/computer games, you choose what game you level up in, you decide how to do it in your own way, you are the one to decide how everything ends up, and most of the time it ain’t that easy.
