The Upcoming Casual Trip

So my cousin and I decided to leave the country for vacation this coming May. “Anywhere will do,” we say. “It’s cheaper when we book early,” we say. And then we boast about getting cheap tickets to Singapore.

Booked and paid, with a separate booking for our accommodation. The funny thing is when we wanted to go just about anywhere as long as it was not expensive, we were about to go for the most expensive trip we could ever afford.

best city, high-rise city, most expensive

But why are we going out? Just because. It’s something we say we deserve, despite our current circumstances. It’s the kind of trip that you take for a long overdue break. It is something your parents will get angry about when you want to think practically.

On my end, it is more about pursuing that thrilling feeling of doing something I have never done before. It’s one of my goals this year. To do things drastically, recklessly, and aggressively. The excitement and nervousness I feel right now (it’s already January by the way) is way up high in the mountains that I cannot contain it.

How about you? Have you ever done something so bold that people might judge you for it?
