There was once a thief who made a fortune out of robbed banks and pharmacies in Reveren City. He heard a large café is opening in the area, and for him, it is a pot of gold.
He was scribbling on his brown notebook, planning his great Café Robbing Operation in The Rush, a small bar near his place when the doors opened, and he got stunned by what he saw. His brows furrowed, and now he does not know how to continue his scribbles.
He saw someone who looked like his lover, but he knew that his lover died in his arms while they were escaping prison three years ago. He was racking his mind about what was going on. As he cannot contain his curiosity, he prepared to approach the lady sitting near the window. The door opened, and it was the jail warden who was in charge of his cell before. He pulled back and tried to blend with the crowd to cover his presence as the warden approached the lady and kissed her on the cheek.
With shock and disappointment, he sat on a table near them, with hopes of overhearing their conversation. ‘Why does she look so much like Sarah?’ he thought. “Just so you know, I am not doing this because of you. This is for him, and I know he’ll show up,” the woman said. The warden was silent, and he was looking at her intently.
Robin was shocked for he knew that it was her just by hearing her voice. Tears ran down his cheeks; he was happy that she was alive. The waiter approached him and asked if he was okay. Robin assured the waiter and asked him to leave, but as the waiter was about to leave, Sarah was in front of his table.
They looked at each other’s eyes in silence, all those empty years filling in on a table in The Rush. Sarah’s right hand was slowly trying to reach for something behind her, and Robin was about to go for his pistol hanging behind his jeans. “I missed you,” he said, still staring at her bright green eyes. “I missed you too,” she answered in a whisper. The ward started to come near their table.
Robin hurriedly stood up and walked to the restroom, the opposite side where the warden came from. Sarah grabbed his wrist and gave a piece of paper. “RUN!” shouted Sarah. The warden picked up his pistol, started aiming at Robin, and shot two rounds. Robin holding his pistol behind his back was stunned as Sarah took those two shots for him. Robin fired back, bringing down the warden.
He remembered the feeling he experienced three years ago, which he dreadfully hated. Dying in Robin’s arms, Sarah told him with her last dying breath. “I’m sorry, and I love you.” Robin’s world turned dark once more.
